The decanter centrifuge is a device based on the principle of centrifugal force, designed to separate a mixture into solid and liquid phases. It is used for removing mechanical impurities, dewatering, concentration (thickening), clarification, and other processes. Centrifuges are widely used in various industries: manufacturing, food and processing industries, petrochemicals, metallurgy, wastewater treatment, and many others.
Depending on the number of phases being separated, decanter centrifuges can be two-phase or three-phase. In three-phase centrifuges, three components are obtained at the output: two liquids and solid substances, while in two-phase centrifuges, solid substances and one liquid are obtained.
