The IFM series meters are volumetric meters for liquids. They are designed for liquid measurement in both conveying and process control systems. Their design makes them easy to maintain and suitable for a wide range of applications. The meter consists of a housing in which two vane displacement rotors and a central single locking rotor rotate synchronously in three cylindrical bores without metal-to-metal contact inside the meter element. Each rotor is supported at both ends by a bearing support through which the rotor shaft passes. The vane displacement rotors move alternately through two semi-cylindrical bores of the measuring element, while one locking rotor rotates in its bore in such a way as to provide a continuous capillary seal between the product not being measured at the outlet and the product being measured at the inlet. A gear is located at one end of the shaft of each rotor. The blocking rotor, which has twice as many teeth as the gears of the displacing rotor, rotates at a speed half the speed of rotation of the displacing rotors.
