The Shivay JKMS series gear pump is a high-performance volumetric rotary pump with a free horizontal shaft, for the possibility of aggregation with an electric motor or gear motor.
The casing of the JKMS series pumps is made of stainless steel (SS-316) by casting. The four-piece design makes it easy to clean and maintain. The shafts and gears are made of SS-316 stainless steel and the surfaces of the parts are nitrided to increase the service life.
This series of pumps uses a chevron gear type, which ensures smooth running, no noise during operation, eliminates axial and radial loads, which helps to increase the service life of both the seals and the pump as a whole.
The Teflon-coated DU sleeve bearing is supported by a bronze backing plate placed in the pump casing. Bushings with a bronze backing plate can also be installed for pumping thicker, more viscous liquids, or gland packing. The pumps use GFO type packing (with the possibility of installing a mechanical shaft seal). These pumps are equipped with an additional pressure relief valve. For the possibility of heating the pumped product with steam, coolant, etc., it is possible to manufacture these pumps with a heating jacket.
