Series of horizontal surface pumps (single or multi-stage) designed for fieldwork in the absence of a stationary power source. The drive of the unit is powered from the power take-off (PTO) shaft of a tractor or vehicle. Since the PTO speed is typically 540 or 1000 rpm, the pump is equipped with a special gearbox – a multiplexer, to increase the rotations of the pump impeller.
Typically, this pump is mounted on the rear three-point hitch of a tractor and is powered via a cardan shaft. There are also roller pumps that are mounted directly on the PTO without using a cardan shaft. The field of application includes agricultural work (irrigation, water storage, drainage), firefighting, utility repair work, etc.
