Water-sealed vacuum pumps are highly reliable, durable and cost-effective, so they are successfully used in a wide range of industrial sectors and industries. Key areas are the chemical industry: drying of organic solvents, synthetic fibers, aminoplasts and polypropylene materials; dissolution and sorption of toxic gases and hazardous liquid media; vacuum impregnation in the production of capacitors, electric motors, cables and transformers. Woodworking and pulp and paper industry: production cycles of drying, processing and treatment of wood, vacuum filtration and pulp production, production of paper and cardboard materials, etc. Metallurgical industry: use of vacuum pumps in production cycles related to powder metallurgy, production of superconductors, ultrapure compounds, laser crystals, etc.; machine-building industry; food industry: production of malt for brewing, freeze-drying of food, refining of alcoholic beverages, desalination of water, evaporation of water in sugar production. Optical industry: e.g. vacuuming of mirror surfaces, ensuring transparency of optical equipment; pharmaceutical industry: e.g. purification of pharmaceutical raw materials, production and storage of medicines; construction industry: e.g. degassing of ceramic and clay raw materials; perfume and cosmetic industry. The inlet pressure can reach 33 mbar (97% vacuum). If the vacuum pump is operated at a constant gas pressure below 80 mbar, an anti-cavitation pipe must be connected. If the pump is equipped with an air ejector, the inlet pressure can reach 10 mbar. The ejector can be installed directly on the pump. When operating as a compressor, ESV pumps can reach 0.26 mPa (absolute pressure).
