Bidirectional cast iron knife gate valves are designed to shut off the flow of liquids containing less than 4% suspended solids or to convey solids, slurries and wastewater by gravity. The body design with sealing wedges on both sides enables operation in both directions at the same pressure. Features of the knife gate valve: One-piece cast iron body with knife guide and sealing wedge. Knife made of AISI304 stainless steel as standard or AISI316 as an option. Stainless steel stem. Seals: NBR, PTFE. The internal structure of the body prevents the accumulation of solid deposits in the sealing area. The body is covered with an 80 micron thick epoxy anti-corrosion coating. Control: handwheel. Application of the gate valve: pulp and paper industry, mining, elevator, chemical industry, food industry, bulk materials handling, wastewater treatment.
